Third visit and it's better than ever. I dream about the BBQ shrimp pie. And the gumbo and crawfish fettuccine. It is one of my all time favorites! So goooood . PS we have walked here 3 times from the Quarter. It's a 20 minute walk. Not sure what folks are talking about saying it's a "run down" neighborhood and you should uber. Maybe they are from the suburbs

Out of all the restaurants in all the states we have been to, this has been the best! From appetizer to dessert, we were blown away! My wife and I started with gumbo as an appetizer, and as Louisiana residents this was the best gumbo my wife and I have ever had! The main courses were both out of this world, the presentation of the dish was perfect and the portion size was just right. Afterwards we ordered bread pudding and it was absolutely perfect! The whip cream was light and fluffy, the bread pudding had the right amount of flavor to it and the apples just put it over the top. The service was also top notch! The atmosphere was a perfect combination of upscale, homey and swanky. If you are looking for a perfect all around restaurant, look no further! BTW the other review that said the Gumbo wasn't good was just a couillon!

Quite refined dining with friendly and enthusiastic service, everything the 3 of us ordered was marvelous, my favorites were the shrimp pie, seafood gumbo, and the raviolis that came with the veal roulade, one of the better creme brulee’s ever.. Yummy warm bread also. I will definitely return. Worth the finer dining price point. Tasteful welcoming decor, colorful music posters and ambient lighting too.

What an incredible restaurant. I love the exterior vibe of the aesthetic. Inside, it felt very warm and cozy. Like your favorite neighborhood spot. The food here is insane. Everything I ordered tasted so fresh and you can tell they have amazing cooks here because the food was prepared so well. Don’t skip desserts when you visit. If they have the white chocolate pound cake, you must order it.

Dining at Gabrielle was an absolutely amazing experience. From start to finish, every dish was rich with flavor and prepared with obvious care. We began with the baked oysters, crawfish enchiladas, and shrimp bisque—each appetizer was outstanding. The oysters were fresh and baked to perfection, the crawfish enchiladas were creamy and packed with bold Louisiana flavor, and the shrimp bisque was velvety, well-seasoned, and deeply satisfying. For the entree, the sea bass stole the show. It was expertly cooked—flaky, tender, and beautifully balanced with its accompaniments. Every bite was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Gabrielle truly captures the essence of New Orleans cuisine with elegance and soul. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable, flavor-packed dining experience

Such a gem! We loved the ambiance; decor is on point and service was wonderful (shout out to our waitress Ms. Rosalind!). The food and drink were incredible! We will absolutely go again! Highly recommend the Miss Amargarita and the Duck Fat Fries and the Seafood Spaghetti Squash and the Lemon Chess Pie.

An excellent place to feel at home and eat delicious cajun cuisine. The service was friendly and unpretentious. It felt like being in someone’s home who knows how to cook really amazing food. Everything we ate was not only tasty but cooked to perfection. I loved the fact that it was in an area that, as a tourist, I wouldn’t typically have had on my radar. I loved my experience and would absolutely recommend Gabrielle to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful service! Our waiter, Batenda was so friendly and made great recommendations. I tried their Gumbo and their famous BBQ Shrimp pie and they were delicious! The staff was very friendly and warm when we entered and left the restaurant as well. Talk about southern hospitality!
